Story Engine
by: Anonymous

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

"The Story Engine TM" ? the writer's most powerful tool.
by: Richard A. McCullough

Good question Joe,

I mention the "Story Engine" on 7 different pages on the website although not in the detail that I cover it in my upcoming book.

The "Story Engine" is not complicated, but quite intuitive; however, being comprised of 6 separate processes (Story Conception, Story Design, Story Research, Story Composition, Story Editing, and Story Proofing) a full explanation requires more space than I can use on a website.

Consider the "Story Engine" as the production flow line for a writer like an assembly line in a manufacturing operation with each process performing a separate specialized task.

All story problems are traceable to one or more skipped or incomplete steps in the sequences of processes of the "Story Engine".

One of the biggest problems for writers is the tendency to jump straight from the fire of a story idea, into the frying pan of trying of composition; having skipped over Story Conception, Story Design, and Story Research. That's like trying to build a house without a set of plans.

Here's where the phrase "Story Engine" shows up on the www.write-better-fiction.com website.

PS. Make sure you've subscribed to my e-zine, so you'll be the first to hear about the new material as it's released.
