Is your writing “Good Enough”?
October 18, 2018
Hi,

Is your writing “Good Enough”?

That’s really the big question isn’t it?

If it’s not “good enough”, then you need to know how to make it “good enough”. Right?

And that would lead us to searching out and reading all manner of books about “writing technique”. You know the type: dialogue, tension, pacing, character development and oh, let’s not forget, plotting… And the list goes on, and on, and on…

And heaven knows there are lots and lots of books, blog posts, seminars, retreats, and just plain old fashioned advice about “technique” out there.

Anyone who has been writing for a while has tried, one or most of the above, to improve their “writing”.

And anyone who has tried, one or all of the above, (if you’re anything like me) has found them all… shall we just say, “less than helpful”.

Less than transformational, less than earth shattering… less than what I (and you, no doubt) were hoping for.

And yet, we aspiring writer types, all too frequently wind up feeling like it’s somehow our fault. Somehow, we just don’t have what it takes. Somehow, we should just know… how to make our writing “good enough”.

Ok. I’ve teased you long enough.

What if I told you, there was a big secret (a handful in fact) lying right under our noses all these years.

And it’s not in any book you, or I, have ever read on the subject.

A big secret, a question – the answer to which – would open all the doors and release all the magic you have stored within you.

This secret is so powerful that it will set your creativity free and boost, not only the quality but the quantity of your writing, to levels you’ve never dreamed of.

And yet it’s so simple. So easy. So natural and intuitive, it’s like breathing.

I realize that’s a bold statement.

And I don’t blame you for being skeptical, as many times as we’ve all been burned, misled and just plain lied too.

No, I don’t blame you at all.

It took me 50 years to stumble on the “right question”, another 2 years to crack the code and another 10 years to break it all down into a simple system…

And guess what…

At the end of it all is… the magic.

You know what I mean. That magical something that we all experience when we read a book. That magic that we writer types want so much to be a part of creating and sharing with readers.

But you have to crawl, before you can stand, and stand before you can walk, and walk before you can run, and run before you can leap tall buildings with a single bound…

I know it’s a silly metaphor, but the leaping tall buildings part is the magic that we all want to get to. The crawl, walk, and run part is like going to Hogwarts to learn how to wield a magic wand – so you don’t poke someone’s eye out.

Point is, I would like to show you how to wield the magic wand of storytelling without damaging yourself or a loved one.

But you have to go through the steps.

And the first one starts with answering that age old question , “Is your writing good enough?”
